Celtic Travel can trace its roots back to the late 1940s in the post war era when it started operating taxis and service routes. It was some time later that it acquired the name “Celtic Travel” and since then has become more of a “coach” business than a bus and taxi service.
The Company was given a new lease of life in December 2006 when it was taken over by the Davies family. Since the winter of 2006 a lot has changed with regard to the number of vehicles and the direction of the Company. The livery was changed in February 2008 to a more modern green & white combination including the Welsh flag and Prince of Wales feathers.
Celtic currently operates from the same garage premises in the centre of Llanidloes as it has since the 1960s. This will hopefully not be the case for much longer as the fleet has outgrown the site and we hope to move to a new purpose built state of the art facility in the near future.
Celtic Travel is family owned, family run with family values working as a team towards the same goal that is - to be known for being the “Best in the Business”.
